The Best of Hamburg
Walking tour from the City Hall to Modern Harbour City
Join me on a leisurely walking tour that will take you through the intriguing history of the ‘Gateway to the World.’ From the modest medieval village to a vibrant state-of-the-art merchant metropolis, the Hamburg story is full of anecdotes, fun and surprising legends. We start with the City Hall and its picture book like façade, portraying Hamburg's hanseatic legacy. Find out how Hamburg managed to rise constantly from the ashes, like a phoenix, despite fires, wars and other calamities. The largest warehouse city complex of the 19th century and UNESCO World Heritage Site will give you an impression of the power of the northern German sea trade throughout the centuries.
